Its looking like we’ll manage 70s and 80s around the peninsula and coast with mostly 90s inland this weekend!
Hottest spots will climb to the low 100s – and air quality will be… well, not so good.
Expect the return of a stronger sea breeze late Sunday (but probably not in time cool things off inland) with some cooling taking hold by Monday and Tuesday of the new week.
Troughy pattern across the West Coast will insure breezy and mild temperatures through June 23rd – however long range models hint at some warmer weather ahead as high pressure starts building in fairly strongly for the last wknd of June. 80s and 90s possible inland. Stay tuned…
Remember to check Examiner.com – San Jose “Weather Examiner” for some cool videos and weather pix.
High pressure should yield some warm temperatures especially Thursday and Friday before a trough of low pressure sets up to the north – ushering in a stronger sea breeze and cooling temperatures through the weekend!
Thanks for a fairly moisture rich dip in the jet stream pattern – the Bay Area will continue to see breezy and cool conditions with a chance for some sprinkles and drizzle for Wednesday.
We may possibly manage some scattered showers or light rain around here on Friday – esp. north of the Golden Gate the way the computer models seem to be suggesting things lately. Hmm…
Bet on cool temperatures for the next 7-10 days and we’ll take a closer look at those shower chances as we head into the second half of the week.

Yours truly got tabbed to be the new San Jose Weather Examiner which I’m proud to post some hopefully insightful articles at the following link:
Come support us on Examiner.com and check out Jan Null’s awesome weather page on the San Francisco Examiner.com site. Jan hosts a great website of Bay Area-specific weather data as well @ ggweather.com
You can find out more on why things are so cool around the Bay Area this week and likely beyond. Check ’em out! 😉
Head to this link to see the fun we had in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico – chasing severe storms, ghost towns, space aliens, big canyons and huge caverns. Click “subscribe” and the episodes will download through iTunes. You can pick and choose which ones you want (my faves: MSU recap, Texas TStorm…, Cavern Crawling)
Trough-y pattern over the West Coast will insure we stay breezy/mild through the weekend. One wild card may be a weather system spinning down the coast later in the week that may enhance showers over our coastal range and hilltops if it manages to tap into enough moisture out of the south.
I’m now blogging away on Examiner.com. Check it out if/when you can. A little more emphasis on seismology, astronomy and other sciences in my new *other* online role. 😉
