is a broadcast meteorologist, multimedia producer/editor/videographer, stormchaser for NBC Bay Area and part time lecturer for Cal State East Bay in Hayward, California.
Rob’s education includes a MS in Geosciences from Mississippi State University where his Masters program research/study included forecasting and tracking supercell thunderstorms in the Great Plains (see video!)
In the Summer of 2010, Rob traveled to Alaska to tour some of the regions shrinking inland and tidewater glaciers in what eventual became a special news report, “On Thin Ice” (see video!)
He is an active member of the American Meteorological Society holds the AMS television seal approval. Rob has also earned two Emmy awards in 2002, 2011 for best on camera anchor work in broadcast meteorology.
Rob also volunteers his time with the Asian American Journalists Association, the Asian Community Mental Health Services of the East Bay and the Lupus Foundation of Northern California.
While not at his TV job, he spends his time creating content for various online media as a multimedia producer, editor and webpage designer for Mayeda MultiMedia, LLC, his in-house online media design company.
He also now serves as Chief Marketing Officer to AnaTango, his family-run cloud-computing software company that has developed an unrivaled application suite for total business administration. AnaTango’s products, along with the company’s well defined roadmap, will enable AnaTango to achieve market penetration as a single-source scalable, customizable total business analysis and management suite that surpasses all offerings in the ERP space.
Rob was married to his lovely wife Sarah at St. Mary’s College in Moraga in November 2008. They have two wonderful Cavalier King Charles spaniels “Barkley” and “Riley”.
